The first Eucharist for Easter will be celebrated in St Luke's on Saturday 4 April at 8:00 pm. This is sometimes called the Easter Vigil and is one of the richest liturgical celebrations the Church has to offer. It begins with the Holy Fire (bon-fire) outside and then moves inside for a celebration of light overcoming darkness. It is rich musically also with the Exultet, the triumphant gloria and of course a chance to sing Alleluia after the quiet of Lent and Holy Week.
On Sunday morning our services will follow the usual schedule in each of our churches. On Sunday evening we have a special service of Christian unity where members of our congregations will gather with other Christians from Canton in Calvary Baptist Church at 6:00pm. During the week normal services resume from Thursday onwards. Please note there is no scheduled masses or Eucharists on Tuesday or Wednesday. We wish you all a very holy and peaceful Easter. The clergy team. ![]()
